Introduction
Afterward their 4-yr-old son dies, a couple accept part in an experiment to clone a new embryo from their dead son'due south encephalon and nervus cells, and implant it as a new pregnancy.

Plot
Every bit a loftier-profile and powerful public figure, Graham'south position allows him to offering the opportunity to clone his deceased son. Rebecca, Graham's wife, is at commencement horrified and repulsed, simply eventually agrees to undergo the process.
Later on vi months, strange things happen. Rebecca begins seeing things through her son's eyes. She meets with Dr. Cole and tells her of the episodes. They both conclude that the child she is conveying is not just a clone, but has the memories of her expressionless son, Justin. She also realizes that her baby reacts strangely whenever she is effectually her husband, Graham.
And presently, every bit she sees through the baby'south optics, she can meet the moment of Justin's expiry, and information technology does non line up with what she had been told. Although Justin did die in an accident, Rebecca'southward hubby, decorated with some projection, lost patience when the boy wanted his attention, and brutally pulled a toy from Justin's hands, accidentally knocking him downwardly; the boy fell and struck his caput, and died in the hospital afterwards.
She decides to leave, since her husband lied, but Graham tries to convince her to give him a 2nd chance. Images communicated from Justin make her fear that Graham will attempt to impale her and make information technology look like an accident rather than permit her to go out him. She confesses her fear to Graham that he will push her, and he proceeds to hunt her, despite her terror. So she hides in the attic. She finds a shotgun with Justin's help. Graham ignores her pleas to stay away. Graham disregards her warnings and she finally shoots him as he draws shut.
Seven months later, Rebecca has brought her newborn son in for a checkup. (In that location is no explanation as to what occurred after Graham's death or what legal ramifications, if any, Rebecca faced for killing her hubby.)
When she leaves on the elevator, we encounter Dr. Cole around a corner, avoiding Rebecca. Dr. Cole is at present heavily pregnant, and — responding to a kick from her child — she calms the unborn child, calling his name: Graham.
